KANEUJI Teppei

Born in 1978, and lives in Kyoto. With
objects taken from daily life as his materials,
he extracts pieces and joins them together to
create works using collage-like techniques
which change and rearrange existing contexts.
In addition to solo exhibitions at venues
such as the Yokohama Museum of Art
(2009), Ullens Center for Contemporary Art
(Beijing, 2013) and Marugame Genichiro-
Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art
(2016), Kaneuji shows his works in group
and international exhibitions in Japan and
overseas. Since 2011 he has also been working
on stage design for a number of projects. He
received the City of Kyoto Best Young Artist
Award in 2013.
