Born in 1949 in Łódź, Poland, RYBCZYNSKI
graduated from the Łódź Film School in the
early 1970s. As a film director, he is known as
a pioneer of HD (high-definition) technology.
RYBCZYNSKI has won numerous
prestigious international awards, including a
U.S. Academy Award in 1983. Between 2010-13, he focused his efforts on the planning of
the Audiovisual Technology Center (CeTA)
in Wrocław (Poland), a unique experimental
film production and research facility which
opened in 2013. Currently residing in Tucson,
Arizona (U.S.), he is preparing for the opening
of a new high-tech cinematography studio.
