Born in 1964 in Yangon, Myanmar, Aung Min graduated from medical school in 1989. The Monk, for which he wrote the screenplay, premiered at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. He put together the Ten Men film group, made up of ten men, in 2013. His screenplays and writings include One Summer Day, Yangon Midnight, and The Man with Beard.
