Born in Brisbane, Australia, where she still resides, Randall studied Film and Screen Media at Griffith University, catalysing a passion for documentary production. Due to developing depression in her late teenage years, she has focused mainly on mental illness and social awareness documentary subjects. Her debut film, Wolfe, won the Crystal Bear for Best Short Film in the Generation 14Plus program of the Berlin International Film Festival in 2017.
