Koganezawa Takehito was born in 1974 in Tokyo, where he currently lives. After studying film at Musashino Art University, he spent many years based in Berlin until his return to Japan in 2017. Starting with videobased works, he creates drawings on paper, in space, and by time. Asian Art Award 2018 recipient. Presented his latest installation, The Magic Lantern: A Short History of Light and Shadow, at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum in 2018.
