Born in Ishikawa in 1977. Resides in London. Graduated in 2003 from the MFA Sculpture program at the Slade School of Fine Art at University College London. Using installations that skillfully incorporate film, sculpture, and drawings, he represents his own internal scenery and feelings residing in his memories. In recent years he has been focusing on works in which video intersects with the exhibition space, thereby depicting scenes that are impossible in reality, creating a world that is somehow familiar, yet provokes viewers’ imagination. He has exhibited his work at solo exhibitions and public collections in various international exhibitions, receiving high praise.
