Sato Keiko is a composer and the director of MuCuL. Based on the concept of “music for all five senses, ” she composes, performs as a singer and pianist, and creates visual music videos both in Japan and abroad. For nine years, from 1999 to 2007, she produced the SIGHT Video Art Exhibit: Visual Music with Deaf, co-sponsored by Sony subsidiaries (Venue: the Sony Building, Ginza). Her solo video and performance-art exhibits include “Dreaming Water ” (INAX Gallery). She is the recipient of the Kirin Art Award and other prizes. Her body of work includes the film Shedding (production and score, 2018), the video The Phase of Water (2019), the CD Man’yo―myriad Words, and the book Music for the Five Senses (Yamaha Music Media, 2002).
