Born in 1966 in Pekanbaru, Indonesia,Amsterdam-based artist Fiona TAN channels her aesthetics into video installations,
photography, and other works-many of
which are currently on display at a wide array
of museums and festivals around the world.
TAN represented The Netherlands at the Venice
Biennale in 2009, she gave her solo exhibition
Fiona Tan Terminology (2014) at the Tokyo
Metropolitan Museum of Photography, one
of the many showings she has given in Japan.
History’s Future (2015) is TAN’s first feature-length
film.
