Based in Vienna, Austria, and London, U.K.,
Manu LUKSCH is an artist, scholar, and
film director whose Faceless (2002-2007)-
an incisive, artistic exploration of surveillance
societies and information protection-put
her in the critical spotlight. The project later
evolved into the 2015 film Faceless, which
was narrated by actress Tilda SWINTON,
translated into nine different languages, and
included in the prestigious Centre Pompidou
collection. LUKSCH is the winner of the
Elevate 2015 Award, the Marianne von
Willemer Prize for Digital Arts, and the
Austrian Media Arts Prize. She currently
studies smart cities as a visiting researcher at
Goldsmiths, University of London.
