Born in 1936, died in 2006. After working as editor on the journal Kiroku eiga (Documentary Film) for the Japan Documentary Filmmakers Association, he joined Oshima Nagisa ’s production company Sozosha and also wrote many screenplays for TV dramas. His screenplays include Sing a Song of Sex (directed by Oshima Nagisa, 1967), and The Man Who Left His Will on Film (directed by Oshima Nagisa, 1970).
