Having been engaged in exhibitions, performances, and editorials at 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT, Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media [YCAM], and Miraikan, Tanaka started her career as an independent curator. Her projects present disabilities as an alternative perspective of re-viewing the world. Her recent projects include the exhibition “The Great Ordinary” (Borderless Art Museum NO-MA, Shiga, 2017), and the performance “CREATIVE AUDIO DESCRIPTION: dance work-in-progress seen by ears” (Kanagawa Arts Theatre [KAAT], 2017), among others.
