Filmmaker. Born in 1940 in Shimane, Japan and now living in Okayama, Japan and Tokyo. In the 1960s, as well as becoming a member of the Eizo Geijutsu no Kai (Association for Film Art), he presided over Unit Pro and released a number of film works in the expanded cinema and environmental cinema genres, becoming a leader of the underground scene. He has also produced exhibitions by artists including Andy Warhol. Since 1976, he has regularly travelled to India to practice meditation and come back to Japan, 2010.
