Born in 1975. PAYNE has shown work in
numerous venues including Tate Modern, the
Hermitage Museum and the film festivals
of London, Edinburgh, Rotterdam, Ann
Arbor, EXIS and Media City. He writes on
experimental cinema, and recently edited the
book Kurt Kren: Structural Films with A.L.
REES and Nicky HAMLYN. He is Senior
Lecturer in Film and Media Studies at Anglia
Ruskin University, Cambridge. He lives and
works in London, U.K.
