Born in 1968. As Curator of Film at National
Film Center, The National Museum of
Modern Art, Tokyo, OKADA is involved in
many areas of film archiving including the
collection, preservation of film and related
materials, and film programs. Since 2007, he
has been responsible for curation of exhibitions
on film culture. He also publishes numerous
papers and essays based on the film history of
Japan and abroad. His works include Eiga to
iu buttai X [The Thing from Film World] (2016)
and (as co-author) Chris Marker, cinéaste nomade
et engagé (2014).
