Born in Osaka in 1987. Filmmaker/artist. Her work explores human memory (and voice) ─the question “Where did we come from, and where are we headed?” ─through imagery and sound. She took part in film. factory, a program to foster filmmakers lead by director Tarr Béla, beginning in 2013 and finished in 2016. Her first feature-length work, ARAGANE (2015), filmed in a Bosnian coal mine, was awarded Special Mention in New Asian Currents at the YAMAGATA International Documentary Film Festival.
