Ben Rivers, born in 1972 in Somerset, UK, lives and works in London. He studied Fine Art at the Falmouth School of Art, initially in sculpture before moving into photography and Super 8 film. He is the recipient of numerous prizes, including the FIPRESCI International Critics Prize at the 68 th Venice Film Festival for his first feature film, Two Years at Sea. His recent shows include Slow Action at the Hepworth Wakefield in 2012, and Sack Barrow at the Hayward Gallery in London, in 2011.
