An artistic team formed in 1996 by Sembo Kensuke and Akaiwa Yae, exonemo’s work traverses the divides between digital and analog, networked and actual worlds to expose relationships between technology and the user in the numerous experimental projects they have taken on with a humorous approach and innovative point of view. They were awarded the Golden Nica at Prix Ars Electronica in Linz, Austria, in 2006, and are currently based in New York City.
