Artist, film director. Creates work mixing elements of fiction and non-fiction, and themed on issues related to gender, personal history and society. Was selected for the 15th Shiseido Art Egg in 2021. Garden Apartment (2017), her first feature-length movie, and The Pioneer (2018), her graduation work at Tokyo University of the Arts, were simultaneously selected to feature at the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2019. She also directed Janitor of Lunacy (2019), which was broadcast in the UK by the BBC, and received the Teiya Iwabuchi Prize at the Contemporary Art Foundation (CAF) Awards in 2016.
