Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Musashino Art University’s Department of Visual Arts, and has worked in a wide range of video production fields, including commercials, films, documentaries, and TV programs. Sorasoi, which her wrote and directed, was an official selection of the Berlin International Film Festival, and her commercial Comic Shogakukan Books won the Cyber Lion and Media Lion Silver Lions at the Cannes International Advertising Festival. The film The Warped Forest, for which she wrote the screenplay, won the Excellence Award in the Entertainment Division at the 16th Japan Media Arts Festival.
