Cornelia SOLLFRANK has been engaged in online art-related activities
since the 1990s. This is her artistic research about the present situation
of the “commons,” or shared ownership. Sollfrank’s interviewees are all
artists / creators who physically or virtually reproduce and share resources
(knowledge, publications, designs, or rare materials on avant-garde art,
for instance), and present them in creative projects and research either
individually or as part of an organization. They talk about the shared
ownership of materials, which was once unfeasible but has since became
possible thanks to technological innovation, and ways in which the resultant
creation of culture has taken place.
