MATSUBARA Ken produces works on the theme of memory
that softly tug at the heartstrings, combining video with
furniture and boxes that depict the passage of time or various
other scenes. This exhibition features video works that take as
their motif the Buddhist practice of hou-cho (“releasing birds”),
which is commonplace in Southeast Asia.
