In Search of Lost Time by Marcel Proust has influenced film in so many ways, whether it be in the form of flashbacks in which characters freely move back and forth in time, or of memories appearing before one’s very eyes. My Golden Days by Arnaud Desplechin will be examined in view of the way it relates to Proust’s literature.
