“Ta-Co,” a visual device consisting of a rotating drum and transparent panels, generates images in real-time, while “Shibaki” is a musical instrument that combines a drum kit, a self-built controller, a stringed instrument and a toy pulley. These two devices, handmade using digital and analog technologies, fill the venue of this performance with visuals and sounds. Usaginingen have gained a high international reputation for their fantastic vision, and today run their own theater on Teshima in the Seto Inland Sea, while creating works inspired by their daily life on the island.
