Winner of a Best Film Prize in the Berlin International Film Festival’s Encounters section, this movie portrays the life of people in a village in the Kyoto mountains. As the camera follows the members of an old-established family for a year to capture details of their daily routine, the abundant natural environment gradually changes, and so does the life of the protagonists. Following The Anchorage (2009), this is the second feature length film co-directed by Anders Edström and C.W. Winter.
