With artists who are themselves raising families, why not take part in our “Dance and Nursery!!” project, aimed at those who are keen to continue to appreciate art whilst taking care of their children. A variety of dancers and artists will be collaborating with the Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions, presenting workshops and performances on the stage at COMMON EBISU, Yebisu Garden Place. The event will feature the Strange Kinoko Dance Company, musician SAKAMOTO Miu, and others. With live performances in the background, young children and infants will be introduced to dance.
A mobile and ornament-making workshop will also be held under the guidance of designers. Workshop activities can also be viewed from outside of the venue.
At the venue, a “Kid’s Room” provided by “イべント託児Mother’s” may be used by parents while they are viewing the festival (reservations required, see below for details).
The space was designed by architects Yuko Nagayama and Associates. The “Kid’s Room” and Art Space will both feature a combination of soft blocks and mosquito net tents. “Dance and Nursery!!” hopes to provide an example of the new composite types of spaces that are necessitated by modern society, and will be held in various other venues in the future.
