Over the past 25 years, Fiona Tan’s video installations, films and photographic works have gained considerable international acclaim, and have been exhibited all over the world. In 2009, she represented The Netherlands at the Venice Biennial, and in 2010, took part in the Architecture Biennial in Venice. Presentations of her work have included Documenta 11, Yokohama Triennale 2001, as well as many international biennials. Solo exhibitions have taken place at institutions including the New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York, Vancouver Art Gallery, National Museum of Art, Osaka, Baltic, Gateshead, Museum für moderne Kunst, Frankfurt, Museum der Moderne Salzburg, Eye Filmmuseum, Amsterdam.
