COBRA
Born 1981 in Chiba, Japan. After graduating from Tama Art University’s Department of Crafts in 2005, he has been working based in Tokyo, and presenting self-produced and performed comical video works depicting ordinary life. Since 2011, he has operated the artist-run space XYZ Collective. Recently he has participated in a number of exhibitions with sculptures with trapped photographs of cheese. Solo exhibitions include “Cobra” (Lambda Lambda, Kosovo, 2022), “The Museum” (Fig, Tokyo, 2019). Also featured at group exhibitions such as “life and limbs” (Swiss Institute, New York, 2019).
