EGUCHI Satoru
Born in Niigata, Japan. Lives and works in New York. He pursues the boundary between two-dimensional and three-dimensional, between the real and its expression, by using paper and clay in a drawing-like manner to create sculptures with motifs of objects around him and installations that recreate specific spaces. Major exhibitions include “Making a home” (Japan Society, New York, 2007 / S.M.A.K., Belgium, 2009) and “Everyday Life/Weird” (Kanagawa Kenmin Hall Gallery, 2011). In recent years, he has exhibited mainly at artist-run spaces in New York.
