IKEZAKI Takuya
Born 1981 in Tokunoshima Island, Kagoshima. Lives and works in New York. Graduated from Musashino Art University, Tokyo, with a BA in Fine Art (oil painting) In 2005. Between 2008 and 2010, he attended classes in the Department of Experimental Art at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. Though his works in various media, using drawings, ready-made objects, and photographs, Ikezaki reconstructs familiar objects and phenomena and their meanings to create his works. Solo exhibitions include “Recent work (Body & Soul)” (Satoko Oe Contemporary, Tokyo, 2022), “Today’s Tomorrow, Yesterday’s Today” (Kirishima Open Air Museum, Kagoshima, 2015) and group show “DOMANI: The Art of Tomorrow 2022–23” (The National Art Center, Tokyo, 2022).
