KOYAMA Taisuke (guest speaker)
Photographer. With his background in biology and the natural environment, Koyama has been presenting photographic and video works with an experimental approach. In recent years, he has been exploring the possibilities of extended photographic expression, particularly by looking at contemporary photographic technology from the perspective of “sensing.” Major exhibitions include “Sense Island 2022” (Sarushima, Kanagawa, 2022), “Encounters in ParalleL” (ANB TOKYO, 2021), and the solo exhibition “Waves and Particles” (Metronom, Modena, 2019), solo exhibition “SENSOR_CODE” (Seen Fifteen, London, 2018), and “AIMIA | AGO Photography Prize 2017” (Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto, 2017). Since 2018, he has been leading the TOKYO PHOTOGRAPHIC RESEARCH PROJECT, which examines cities and society through contemporary photographic and visual expression.
