On monitor displays suspended from the ceiling, photographs slowly slide one by one from right to left. In her work to date, Hosokura has been depicting all kinds of surfaces as if scanning their textures, without distinguishing between human or mineral skins. While watching the continuous flow of images on the displays, the boundaries between the individual pictures gradually blur, as does the distinction between colored and monochromatic. As a result, textural hierarchies no longer apply, and all images connect on a flat, equal footing.
