Aoki Ryoko (born 1973 in Hyogo Prefecture) and Ito Zon (born 1971 in Osaka Prefecture) both live in Kyoto Prefecture. While pursuing their own creative practice, they have also been collaborating on animated works since around 2000. Major exhibitions in which they have collaborated include Yokohama Triennale 2001, “Ways of Worldmaking” (The National Museum of Art, Osaka, 2011), “Two Sticks” (Museum of Architecture in Wroclaw, 2015), Reborn-Art Festival 2017, 2019 (Ishinomaki, Japan), “Workshop: Free Molecules Metamorphoses” (The Watari Museum of Contemporary Art, 2020).
