Born 1960 in Brisbane (Australia). Lives and works in Sydney and New York. Moffat, who has indigenous roots, focuses on issues of race, gender, identity and various other issues from both a cultural and social perspective in works of film, photography, and video imbued with unique narratives. Since her first solo exhibition at the Australian Centre for Photography in 1989, Moffatt has exhibited extensively in museums all over the world.
