Born 1981 in Chengdu, China and currently lives in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Evelyn Taocheng Wang studied painting at Nanjing Normal University in 2006 before moving to Germany, where she studied Städelschule in Frankfurt in 2012. She has created a wide range of works that cross cultural identities using various expressive techniques such as painting, performance, installation, and calligraphy. Major exhibitions include “An Equivocal Contrast” (Rockbund Art Museum, Shanghai, 2023) and “Norwegian Music in Dutch Window” (Kayokoyuki, 2022).
