Born 1965 in Taipei, Taiwan. Chou Ching-Hui has been working in the field of documentary photography and staged photography for more than thirty years. Throughout his career, he has long explored the relationship between people and society, and in his representative work, “Animal Farm,” in which he depicts people as animals and plants from the perspective of a zoo, he reappraises various aspects of society and identity in intentionally staged photographic imagery that diverge from conventional photographic forms. Major exhibitions include “Animal Farm” at Museu do Oriente (Lisbon, 2022), Art Stage Singapore 2016, and Taipei Biennial 2014.
