Yuan Goang-Ming and Takamine Tadasu met at the Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT) in 2012 and have continued an exchange thereafter through art and education, with Yuan inviting Takamine to the Taipei National University of the Arts and Takamine inviting Yuan to Akita University of Art among other activities.
In addition to both artists, Iwakiri Mio, an art writer living in Taiwan, will play the role of host for this event, which aims to exchange opinions about the diversity of expression and freedom of education in Japan and Taiwan while comparing the current situation in both countries.
