MURAKI Yoshihiko
Born November 15, 1935, Muraki Yoshihiko joined Radio Tokyo (now TBS) in 1959. Working across roles including director, reporter, and producer, he produced programs including Sunny Hill (Hi no Ataru Sakamichi) and Hanoi: Testimony by Den Hideo (Hanoi: Den Hideo no Shogen). In 1970 he established the production company TV Man Union with colleagues including Hagimoto Haruhiko, and went on to create shows such as I Want to Go Far Away (Tohku e Ikitai). He founded a media development center called Today and Tomorrow in 1984 with the aim of cultivating new media. Muraki passed away on January 21, 2008. He authored several books, including Creativity Organizes—Confronting the Age of New Media (Sozo ha Soshiki suru—New Media Jidai he no Chosen; Chikuma Shobo, 1984).
