HASHIMOTO Kazumichi
Hashimoto Kazumichi (b. 1974) is a professor at the Faculty of Letters, Arts and Sciences, Waseda University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and specializes in the history of ideas and the study of culture and representation. Hashimoto is the author of Shimonron: Shinreishugi kara Seitaininsho made (“Fingerprints: From Spiritualism to Biometrics”; Seidosha, 2010) and has translated titles including Georges Didi-Huberman’s Images in Spite of All and Alain Supiot’s The Spirit of Philadelphia into Japanese. He is a member of the Photographers’ Gallery and contributes articles on photography to the Photographers’ Gallery Press.
